Modbus Slave is a useful utility for people that work with system automation related to industrial developments like machinery, factory assembly lines, and any other project that fits the field.

With Modbus Slave you can haste your PLC programming by executing tests and simulating up to 32 devices in 32 separate windows. The simulations are possible before a slave device is delivered by the supplier.

All the data generated by the slave devices are compatible and easily accessible to the master application and it sports the same UI as Modbus Poll. It also supports the following functions: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 15, 16, 22 and 23.

The utility's most important features are OLE Automation, print and preview, monitored serial data traffic, a dozen of display formats ( float, double etc) broadcast, and more.

The OLE Automation can interface with MS Excel, which creates a bridge between the Modbus data conforming to your specific requirements. For example, you can edit your data in Excel first and then send it to your slave device.

All in all, Modbus Slave is a simulation tool thatcan simulate a real slave device in order to speed up your PLC programming. The tool can support up to 32 devices and hold some more features that are supposed to make the activity easier.
